Every year, many Rhode Island children are unable to pursue academic success through school choice because their families cannot afford to pay the full cost of tuition.

Fortunately, our state has a program – the Rhode Island Scholarship Tax Credit Program – that allows families to receive financial assistance to send their children to private schools.

How does it work?

Rhode Island corporations donate to our program, and in return they receive a substantial tax credit from the state. The funds are distributed to families at participating schools through our Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs).
